The tool release piston on the HAAS TM-1 (TM-2) requires occasional lubrication. If you have the spindle cover off for other maintenance, it doesn’t hurt to lubricate the piston while you’re in there. I use Superlube synthetic grease which is supposed to work well with o-rings. https://amzn.to/3IIpHC7 source
