  3. i just see a mayor flaw, is on the piston skirt that have to withstand a lot of force and vibration and I see that its has not filled radius wen it get to the bottom of the top part, but all the rest its ok

  4. خوبه پیستونی که با اون شدت انفجار ابی حرکت میکنه جنسش از المینیوم،،که نقطه ذوبش انقد پاعینه استفاده میکنند وحتی تو لودر وبلدزرم همین الومینوم پیستونه واقعا برام انگار جادو کردن اومینیوم تو فشار وحرارت خیلی وقتا بدون حتی مثلا موتور سیکلیت ،،از اب برای خنک کردنش استفاده نمیشه و همیشه هم جواب داده

  5. Ah the good old days! Get your 850 cc Mini block. Bore it out to 1150 cc (carefully, to avoid the water ways). De-stroke it back to 850 cc. Spin it up to 11,000 rpm and away you go! Fun days!

  6. Hi XF and Marhew. Thank you for your vid. Your design requires substantial skirt ovality because the boss webs expand lengthwise with combustion heat. If you run these at a similar clearance to original pistons, they will sieize in 4 places. In contrast, a very basic design such as a 2 stroke, can get away with almost no ovality. With your equipment and expertise, a precision oval turning attachment that you could make yourselves is absolutely do-able. It looks like there was some technology sharing when Daimler-Benz owned Chrysler. the combustion chamber on those heads is basically a 3-valve version of gen 3 Hemi right down to the dual spark plugs. granted the Benz head is a OHC and the Hemi is a push rod engine. but it is amazing how similar the intake and exhaust runners are to a gen 3 hemi as well. amazing video.

  9. How did your decide on crown height? Ring clearance? Skirt width? Desired surface finish? Thermal expansion? You've only designed one aspect of the piston, outright strength, and didn't design many of the critical aspects of a piston.

  10. Really cool. But do you worry the squared off inside corner will create a stress point that results in a crack under the stress of operation? Notice on the F1 piston that corner has a significant radius.
